Coca-Cola, Times Square

The world’s first kinetic 3D LED billboard brought to life on the world’s biggest stage.

Breakthrough Innovation in Out-of-Home Display

Coca-Cola set out to reimagine its Times Square presence, resulting in a six-storey, 3D robotic billboard made from over 1,700 moving LED cubes. Each module extends and retracts independently, choreographed to bring physical depth, motion, and dimensional storytelling to the iconic screen. Designed using Yaham’s custom kinetic LED system, it created a world-first spectacle in digital out-of-home media.

Precision Engineering Meets Creative Freedom

At over 68 feet tall and 42 feet wide, the display uses Yaham’s proprietary 3D motion technology to ensure smooth, silent, and safe movement at scale. The modular design gives Coca-Cola nearly limitless creative control, enabling content to evolve in real-time with immersive, multi-sensory animation. It’s a billboard designed to blur the line between content and structure.

Built to Redefine the Static Billboard.

Recognition on the Global Stage

This display didn’t just make headlines. It made history! Coca-Cola’s Times Square screen earned two Guinness World Records and an SXSW Interactive Innovation Award, cementing its place as a landmark moment in outdoor media. More than a screen, it became a symbol of what’s possible when engineering and storytelling move in sync.
