Europe’s First Interactive LED Floor
At the forefront of retail innovation in the UK is Sports Direct, and its recent Liverpool flagship launch was no exception.
The elevated three-storey experiential concept includes the UK’s first HYROX Performance Centre within Everlast Gyms+, an Adidas Football Skill Zone to test shooting accuracy, and, most notably, Europe’s first-ever touch-sensitive LED floor, supplied by YAHAM.
Installed as part of Under Armour’s gamified retail experience, the LED floor forms the heart of “Total Footwork”, an immersive in-store challenge designed to test agility, coordination and reaction speed.
The fully responsive LED surface was engineered to detect touch at speed, allowing shoppers to engage in real-time gameplay, either solo or head-to-head, pushing their agility and competitive edge.
The activation now attracts over 100 plays per week, reinforcing its role as a high-impact engagement driver within the store.
Above, a high-resolution LED wall displays live scores, player avatars and leaderboard updates, transforming the retail environment into a dynamic performance arena.
Sports Direct has always leaned into bold, interactive retail and YAHAM’s technology makes that ambition tangible.
Together with Under Armour, this installation demonstrates what LED can truly achieve inside physical space, not as a screen on a wall, but as an interactive experience.
From Flagship Floors to Landmark Venues
YAHAM’s UK presence isn’t confined to retail environments.
Known globally for delivering high-definition digital displays across DOOH networks and major venues, its expansion into the UK market follows the same trajectory.
At Manchester Central – one of the UK’s most prominent exhibition and conference venues, hosting nearly half a million visitors every year – a major consolidation project is underway.
The redevelopment focuses on improving connectivity between internal and external spaces, enhancing entrance halls, and creating a more seamless visitor journey.
To support this transformation, YAHAM supplied and delivered striking external LED totems as complete structural solutions at the venue’s entrance.
These installations extend the venue’s immersive experience beyond its walls, enhancing wayfinding, strengthening brand presence, and elevating the arrival experience for visitors.
With YAHAM technology now framing its entrance, Manchester Central reinforces its position as the home of pioneering events.

From the UK to Europe
